Taller de palma Chasen Thajni

PALM WORKSHOP CHASEN THAJNI

Chasen Thajni has a palm weaving workshop dedicated to preserving, teaching, and updating traditional craftsmanship within the community of Santa Inés Ahuatempan. The Chasen Thajni palm workshop also welcomes artists interested in learning, developing, or exploring creative processes through collaborative work with members of the Ngiba community, who share their knowledge of palm gathering, preparation, and weaving techniques.

Advisors: Cristina Clímaco Arellano, Catalina Sillero Colmena, Alejandra Ascención Colmena, and Miriam Ramírez.

Other collaborators: Patricio Julián Álvarez Valentín, Gilberta Juan Mendoza, Francisco Pastor Celestino, Ángel Ventura, Fidel Cruz, Nicolas Rosas Cruz, Gonzalo Valencia Durango, Tianguis Artesanal Ndasí Kajné, Manos Mágicas Ahuatempan, and the women's cooperative Ar-the Ngiba.
